A Print All Over Me Collection from Noun Project

Icons are everywhere. Street signs, business decks, your phone, website navigation…and now in fashion! Although icons are typically used to express straightforward ideas in straightforward ways, we at Noun Project have always believed that icons can be used in fun, creative and abstract ways. Which is why we’re so excited about our new partnership with Print All Over Me, a platform out of New York that’s pushing boundaries with customizable fashion pieces.

Inspired by their unique patterns and prints, we decided to create our own playful collection of icon-centric patterns for tops, pants, sweaters, swimsuits, and bags. Our very own Interaction Designer and pattern-maker, Kimi Lewis, came up with laugh-out-loud clever designs based around our favorite idioms, created with the exclusive use of primary colors. We love that the collection is unisex and can be worn by anyone.

We wanted to work with idioms because they’re relatable, and at the same time enable us to work with unrelated groupings of icons. We made a bunch of patterns, and ultimately arrived at these favorites using icons from Noun Project creators:
