Explore the Unusual: Noun Project’s Most Wild & Whimsical Visuals

We're opening a new Pandora's Box of possibilities this April Fool's Day, with only the most wild, weird, and whimsical of icons and photos from our collection.

You already know us as the home of the world’s most diverse and extensive collection of visuals, but exactly how far down the rabbit hole have you gone?

On this April Fools’ Day, we invite you to join us as we explore a veritable cabinet of curiosities: our wildest icons and photos from the four corners of nounproject.com. Buckle up for a new journey of discovery as we take a deep dive.

There’s a Drone for That

The A.I. revolution has already arrived, and is seeping into every corner of our lives. There’s no clearer evidence that robots will soon steal every last job from our fingertips (if they haven’t already) than Cougar Oswald’s collection There’s a Drone For That. At this point, it’s likely the least we can do to invest our life savings in drone technology.

Once the drones start integrating self-care and mindfulness activities into their daily work, it’s over for us.

Functional Fruit

Looking for a more lo-fi solution to your technological problems? Find it at the intersection of technology and fruit. You’ve heard of Banana Phone, but what about the burgeoning technologies bound to shape our lives in the 21st century – Flash Drive Orange, Pyrotechnic Pineapple and Granny Smith Lightbulb? Augment your next grocery run by picking up the new tools of the trade from the Functional Fruit collection.

Banana’s ringing. Better pick up.

The Truth is Out There

It would be irresponsible to use the global reach of our platform to peddle in conspiracy theories, but frankly, it would be just as irresponsible to not at least double-check that our planet isn’t being run by a secret society of lizard-people from space. We’ve made a point to fully declassify every icon collection documenting contact between humans and intelligent beings from other planets, because our users deserve nothing less than the truth. Never stop searching for answers in BaconTaco’s UFO and Aliens icon collection.

Close encounters of the downloadable kind.

Stuff In Jars

We pride ourselves on not only housing the world’s most diverse collection, but perfectly preserving it in jars to last our users through the bitter winter. Anything you need in a jar, we’ve got you covered. Pickles? Put it in a jar. Pine trees? Jar. A house? If it can fit, we see no reason not to jar it. Old stuff, new stuff, red stuff, blue stuff: jars, jars, jars, and jars.

(Content warning: some users may find these images jarring)

Put a lid on it.

Nature is Healing

Ah, the great outdoors. Our big blue marble, and all the creatures that inhabit it, astound us with wonder each and every day. Just as our earliest Paleolithic ancestors used cave paintings to capture the precious relationships between humans and their animal companions, so too should we document (and celebrate!) the sacred communion between modern man and the animal kingdom. All of life rests in a delicate balance in Gan Khoon Lay’s collection.

Getting outside. Touching grass. Taking in all the sights and sounds nature has to offer.

Eggstremely Timely Photos

Egg-flation is still at an all-time high, and Easter is just around the corner. What’s an egg afficcionado to do? Indulge in the ultimate modern luxury, no longer out of reach: eggs of all shapes, sizes, and on occasion, personalities. Be prepared to open your mind and eggsplore new possibilities with some of our alternative egg offerings: disco eggs, punk rock eggs, and eggs more genetically modified than you previously thought possible.

This is just the average number of egg puns you should be eggspecting this time of year.

Life Under Cat-pitalism

Cats are only about two things: licking their own bottoms and protecting their own bottom lines. From the time the first pencil was slowly pushed off a desk, cats have been disruptors by their very nature. Invest in these Commerce Cats before the next recession hits if you want to put your business in good paws.

Cat-pitalism breeds innovation, and just the occasional hairball.

Curiouser and Curiouser

“How far does the Noun Project’s icon collection go?” asked Alice, “and would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?”

“That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,” replied the Cheshire Cat.

“I don’t much care where—” said Alice.

“Then it doesn’t matter which way you go,” said the Cat.

“––so long as I get somewhere,” Alice added as an explanation.

“Oh, you’re sure to do that,’ said the Cat, “if you only scroll long enough.”

We’re just as lost as you are at this point. Good luck, though.

Someone’s Got a Case of the Mondays

They told you they were looking for highly motivated self-starters who thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Then suddenly you were staring at Excel for 9 hours a day for the rest of your life. Embrace the rat race with Luis Prado’s icons from down at the old cubicle farm. Resistance is futile.

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. All work and no play…

Unicorns are Real!

We’re reclaiming the term “unicorn” from the world of charismatic tech founders and giving it back to our inner children. What happened to just believing in magic? Chase down the last unicorn and never let it go when you find it.

What you always wanted for Christmas but never got. It’s finally time.
